Goeroptics Debuts 50° FOV SiC Optical Waveguide Module at SPIE
Goeroptics recently unveiled the AR full-color optical waveguide display module,?F50Se, achieving a?50-degree field of view (FOV), at the prestigious international XR conference—SPIE AR|VR|MR in the United States. This advancement enables AR glasses to achieve an exceptionally slim form factor while delivering superior display performance.

The?F50Se?module innovatively
employs?high-refractive-index silicon carbide (SiC) optical waveguide
material, breaking through the ~30° FOV physical limit of traditional glass
substrates to reach an ultra-wide 50° FOV. Furthermore, through?innovative
grating design and dry-etching processes, it effectively eliminates common
artifacts in AR waveguide displays, such as ghosting and rainbow effects,
significantly enhancing visual purity. Paired with a?full-color,
miniaturized LCoS micro-display, the module can achieve an eye-box brightness
of over?1,500 nits.
Through this series of innovations,
Goeroptics provides a key optical solution for slim AR glasses, combining
a?virtual large screen, full color, and high brightness, thereby elevating
experiences in viewing and entertainment scenarios.

At the event, Goeroptics also showcased
several other core products: the?F30Se?SiC etched optical waveguide
module with a thickness of only?0.65mm; the lightweight full-color polymer
optical waveguide module?F15Pi; the?F25Ge?module adapted for
outdoor bright light and industrial scenarios; and a slim?MR Pancake
module.
Moving forward, Goeroptics will continue to
deepen synergistic innovation in materials and processes to support the
iterative upgrade of XR devices.
